First post here. Just moved here 8 months ago and Rent is about $1,031/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $164,500 on average. Poverty rate is 17.2%, which is higher than I expected. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
