Is Kalifornsky getting better or worse?

Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 8,136, Kalifornsky is a small town. Rent is about $1,371/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'm a real estate agent and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 3 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
