Most overrated things about Kalispell

Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 26,830, Kalispell is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 5.3%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What would you do? Thanks for reading. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
