Why I chose Kaneohe Base over bigger cities

I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $3,399 for rent here. Household incomes average around $70,000 in Kaneohe Base. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any help is appreciated. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 15 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
