The good and bad of living in Kannapolis

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Median household income is $70,691, which feels about average for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What would you do?

I'm a accountant and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
