Best coffee shops in Kansas City?

Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $1,073/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $147,100, which is actually reasonable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much developing but now it's solid.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
