How is Kapaa for outdoor activities?

Hey, It's a a small town city with about 10,886 people. Poverty rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
