Henry Rivera housing

Is it worth buying in Kapolei?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 6.8%, which is pretty low.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2024 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Moved here from Tampa about 15 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to dating scene but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in real estate here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is improving. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Sunset for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- The walkability scene is decent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..
