What to expect moving to Kasson?

Been meaning to ask this. Crime rate is something to consider -Kasson sits at 92.1 per 100K. The median home value here is around $264,500, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 6,964 people. Rent is about $1,066/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Has anyone dealt with this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
