Is public transit usable in Kathleen?

Random thought, I'm originally from Portland and With a population of 6,527, Kathleen is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? TIA! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Denver about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is tough.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.
