Kaysville is underrated, change my mind

You can expect to pay around $1,423 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a lawyer and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2018 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.
