My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

I've lived in North for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The dating scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in engineering here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is underrated. No regrets on my end..
