Is Kearney good for remote workers?

OK so Been living here since 2006. Household incomes average around $69,790 in Kearney. Median household income is $69,790, which feels about average for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,024 people. Homes are going for about $235,800 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
