Biggest downsides of living in Keller?

Anyone else feel this way? The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Uptown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- The pet-friendliness scene is solid

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
