First time home buyer in Keller

Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Median household income is $172,654, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The job market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The traffic is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Miami about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 7 years. Moved from Chicago for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Homeless population growing downtown. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 8/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much affordable but now it's average.
