Is Kelseyville still affordable?

Alright, I'm originally from Tampa and The unemployment rate is 11.0%, which is concerning. Crime rate is something to consider -Kelseyville sits at 356.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,136 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Low taxes
- Easy commute
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
What are your go-to spots? Appreciate any input. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
