So, Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,950 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much developing but now it's improving.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

I've lived in South for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community
- The job market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..
