Best hidden gems in Kenbridge

Anyone else feel this way? With a population of 1,348, Kenbridge is a small town. Rent is about $974/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 11.4%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Phoenix it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
