Best industries in Kendale Lakes right now

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Kendale Lakes sits at 231.7 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Denver about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
