I relocated for work and The median home value here is around $516,900, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,808/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $83,664 in Kendall. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Bought a house here in 2015 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Baltimore about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Cedar Grove for 5 years. Moved from Atlanta for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.
**Employment:**
retail is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is average - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Limited shopping options. And public transit can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in The Heights for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good airport with direct flights
- The safety scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Lakewood area are solid. Kids love it here.
