Best neighborhoods to rent in Kendall?

It's a a smaller city city with about 78,527 people. Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $516,900 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from New York about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is average.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..
