Freelancing from Kendall -experience?

Hey, I'm single, late 50s, and Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $1,808 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Baltimore it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for work and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor recreation is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
