Anyone work in healthcare in Kenmore?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 50s, and You can expect to pay around $1,944 for rent here. Poverty rate is 4.5%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $869,800, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $869,800 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much reasonable but now it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is solid.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..
