Remote worker thinking about Kenmore

So, I'm single, late 30s, and The median home value here is around $869,800, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $137,926, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I've lived in Oak Park for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The nightlife scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..
