I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $72,867 in Kennewick. The weather takes some getting used to. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Westside area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 14 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
