Affordable areas near Kenosha?

I'm originally from Denver and Homes are going for about $210,500 on average. Rent is about $1,137/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $210,500, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $1,137 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
