Should I move to Kent or stay in Tampa?

It's a a smaller city city with about 27,190 people. The median home value here is around $210,700, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Has anyone dealt with this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (North) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The weather scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
