Considering Kentwood vs New York -help me decide

Been meaning to ask this. It's a a smaller city city with about 54,114 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thoughts? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much manageable but now it's challenging.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Pine Hills area are solid. Kids love it here.
