Is Kentwood good for remote workers?

Hey folks, With a population of 54,114, Kentwood is a smaller city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
