Is Kentwood good for remote workers?
First post here. I'm originally from Los Angeles and Homes are going for about $249,000 on average. Rent is about $1,205/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
