Random thought, Just moved here 13 months ago and Homes are going for about $249,000 on average. The median home value here is around $249,000, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 54,114, Kentwood is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,205/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for Kentwood? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
