Thinking about relocating to Kentwood from Baltimore

Hey, I'm retired and Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $249,000, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.
