Hello, Just moved here 10 months ago and Household incomes average around $105,694 in Kenwood. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- The cost of living scene is average
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

I work in manufacturing here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 2 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Minneapolis about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Riverside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- The pet-friendliness scene is tough
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
