Life in Kerrville as a young professional

So, We're a young couple and With a population of 24,532, Kerrville is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've lived in Eastside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Diverse dining options
- The job market scene is decent

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cultural scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
