First post here. We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from LA about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.
