Job hunting in Kettering -tips?

Hey, Just moved here 1 months ago and Homes are going for about $192,500 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The school system is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely challenging and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
