Co-working spaces in Kewanee?

Random thought, The median home value here is around $70,000, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $775 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 12,280 people. With a population of 12,280, Kewanee is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks for reading. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Seattle about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Thai.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
