How much do you pay for rent in Key West?

Hello, Rent is about $2,075/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,824 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Key West sits at 391.0 per 100K. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Close to nature
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
- Limited cultural events
What would you do? Cheers. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The healthcare scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
