Day-to-day life in Keystone, FL

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The median home value here is around $604,800, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Keystone sits at 108.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $604,800 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 14 years. Moved from Seattle for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Bugs and humidity in summer. And community vibe can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from San Diego about 3 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The safety is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
