Kimberling City vs Kansas City -which is better?

I'm originally from New York and You can expect to pay around $925 for rent here. Household incomes average around $48,274 in Kimberling City. With a population of 2,559, Kimberling City is a small town. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $237,700 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good job market
- Easy commute
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited public transit
- Sprawl everywhere
People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The public transit is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 2 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
