Kingman is underrated, change my mind

My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Kingman sits at 326.8 per 100K. Homes are going for about $242,700 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 33,850 people. Median household income is $60,418, which feels about average for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Good healthcare facilities
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Limited dining options
Should I be concerned? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely underrated and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.
