Starting a business in Kingman?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $242,700, which is actually reasonable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated.

I've lived in West for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- The job market scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Meadowbrook for 12 years. Moved from Baltimore for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Limited entertainment options. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 9/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in South area are improving. Kids love it here.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is tough

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.
