Honest thoughts on life in Kings Park

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 16,249, Kings Park is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,813 for rent here. Homes are going for about $586,300 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Lakewood area are challenging. Kids love it here.
