Hey, My partner and I are It's a a small town city with about 16,249 people. Median household income is $118,723, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $586,300, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Midtown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The dating scene scene is average
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Uptown for 9 years. Moved from Denver for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is solid - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Bugs and humidity in summer. Far from beaches/mountains. And walkability can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Seattle it's average.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Boston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The job market scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
