I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 43--F, so bundle up in winter. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.
