How much do you pay for rent in Kingsland?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Dallas about 3 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Maple Ridge. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The housing market is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
