Kingsland is underrated, change my mind

First post here. It's a a small town city with about 19,101 people. Rent is about $1,201/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Would love some local perspective.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The pet-friendliness is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much pricey but now it's challenging.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
