Random thought, Household incomes average around $103,056 in Kingston Estates. Crime rate is something to consider -Kingston Estates sits at 34.8 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

The food scene here is excellent. Tons of great Indian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 8 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Westside for 1 years. Moved from Charlotte for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.
**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is average - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Not a lot of cultural diversity. And cultural scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 6/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I work in healthcare here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is challenging. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The dating scene scene is tough
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
