What I wish I knew before living in Kingston

Anyone else feel this way? I'm retired and Poverty rate is 15.8%, which is higher than I expected. Crime rate is something to consider -Kingston sits at 153.3 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Is this normal for Kingston? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
