Anyone regret moving to Kingstown?

Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $1,806 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in North for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The pet-friendliness scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely improving and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Riverside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.
